Citizen Rage is a five-piece anthematic hardcore band (lead guitar, rhythm guitar, bass, drums, vocals) based out of Calgary, Alberta. Citizen Rage has been influenced by and compared to DRI, Suicidal Tendencies, Agnostic Front, Madball, and Raised Fist. Citizen Rage brings together experienced and professional musicians in an effort to add to and expand upon Canada's punk, metal, and hardcore scene. Mark Russell (vocals), Kevin (lead guitar), Froid (rhythm guitar), Mikey Bastard (bass) J-Dog (drums).Citizen Rage has risen up between genres to become one of the most promising hardcore punk bands in Alberta. Across their musical careers, one or more of the members previous bands have played with The Dwarves, Face to Face, Dayglo Abortions, Nashville Pussy, The Causalities, The Supersuckers, D.O.A., U.K. Subs, SNFU, NoMeansNo, The Unwanted, Forbidden Dimensions, and The Real McKenzies. Members have been awarded for the following by Calgary's local subversive rock music community: Best Band (2007), Best Album (2007, 2008), Best singer (2009), Best Bass (2009), and Best Performance. On August 28, 2014, Citizen Rage and Calgary Beer Core were featured in the Calgary Herald as mainstays in the city's underground punk, metal, and rock scene. With two EP's and a Western Canada tour under their belt, they are ready to get back into the studio to record their much anticipated third EP.
